All activities on the Bocksberg, a recreational park, good restaurants, two banks, a bakery, and the Tante Enso supermarket, as well as several shops, are within walking distance (maximum 1-10 minutes). If you want to explore the Harz Mountains, Hahnenklee is the perfect place, and the "Kleine Harzzeit" offers the perfect starting point and a breather during your stay.
