Historically, Bohnert hasn't exactly made headlines (no emperor was crowned, no revolution was started, and even Napoleon somehow missed stopping by) – but that's perhaps why it's so wonderfully relaxed. The Schlei ripples along leisurely, as if it had all the time in the world, inviting you to simply pour the stress of everyday life into the water. Leisure activities? But hello: Cycling until your legs ache (or your e-bike battery gives out). Walks where you meet more cows than people – the ultimate way to slow down! Swimming in the Schlei, with the slight thrill of wondering whether the water is more "refreshing" or "arctic" today. And for culture lovers: the story of Bohnert itself – namely, that life here has always been a bit quieter and more beautiful than elsewhere. In conclusion: If you're looking for action, head to Hamburg. But if you want to experience peace, nature, and North German charm, Bohnert is the place to be. Besides, after a stay here, you have the wonderful excuse: "I couldn't get in touch, it was just too beautiful in Bohnert" – and no one will dare to question that.

Super nice and flexible landlady. A very nice house, stylishly furnished with a beautiful view directly onto the Schlei. The kitchen is superbly equipped. We'd love to come back.

A paradise for relaxation. The reception was very friendly. The house was beautiful. The location was dreamy. All we could hear were the birds. The only things missing for a 1+ rating are a gas grill that doesn't have to be cleaned up afterward, better garden loungers, and honestly, I don't feel like taking my trash out for that price like I do when camping; the other providers have trash cans right outside their doors. The 10 km to the nearest bakery takes some getting used to.
